It's almost that time of year again where we make our annual trip to London and exhibit at the Stationery Show London. Can you believe it's 10 years since the show started? - we can't and we've been to every one!

This year, we're showcasing two of our ranges - Silvine and Artgecko Sketchbooks. With brand new and exciting products launching, it's a great chance to come and see them for yourself and chat to us!

From 25th - 28th January 2020 we we're at Creativeworld (Frankfurt, Germany) showcasing our full range of Artgecko Sketchbook products including some brand new and exciting developments. Freestyle - Perfect for POSCA!

We met with existing and potential customers to discuss our exciting range! Plus for the first time, we had a quick draw caricature artist on our stand - SPOT ON GEORGE!

Some of you may have spoken to Yvonne on the phone - placing orders, asking for product information or just having a chat. 

Well, it's now time for Yvonne to put her feet up. As on Friday 28th June 2019, Yvonne leaves Sinclairs after 25 years of loyal and dedicated service.

We would like to thank Yvonne for all her hard work over the years and wish her all the very best for her future.

New partnership with SANE

We're proud to announce our new corporate partnership with SANE - a leading UK mental health charity.

We're committed to workplace wellbeing and raising awareness of the importance of mental health. 

Whilst we’re announcing the partnership during #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek; we’re passionate about supporting SANE’s messaging throughout the year.

Marjorie Wallace, Chief Executive of SANE, said: “We are very grateful to have the support of Sinclairs. We welcome the opportunity to partner with an organisation that shares our mission of raising awareness of mental illness and supporting people and families affected by it.”

We hope to reach thousands of people nationally with key messages on mental health awareness, mindfulness and helpful tips during times of stress; such as increased office workloads, deadline pressures, revision and exams through our Silvine brand.

It's a wrap!

As a business we’re always committed to reducing waste and packaging where possible. We’re holders of ISO14001 and FSC certifications and also produce our products here in the UK. 

With a lot of media coverage surrounding plastic reduction in recent months we’ve been actively looking for additional ways we can apply this thinking to our current products and ranges to help create change in the paper stationery industry.

We've started our plastic reduction journey with our iconic stationery brand Silvine Originals (www.silvineoriginals.co.uk) 

Every Silvine Originals product produced from April 2019 will now take a completely plastic free approach. Gone are the single and transit plastic based wraps along with all plastic backed adhesives now replaced by paper based alternatives and a return to brown kraft paper wrap parcels – just like we used to do.

We've been nominated as the 'Best Large Business' in this years Otley Business Awards! We're delighted to be nominated alongside other fantastic Otley businesses. 

We're a part of Otley history stemming back to 1837. We're still as committed today as we were back then to reliability, being sustainable with the materials we use and delivering world class expertise within the paper stationery industry to our customers across the globe. 

We look forward to celebrating local Otley business on the 22nd March 2019.

New year, exciting times ahead! 

So far in 2019 we've already been to Creativeworld - special thanks to all our customers and distributors who came to see us in Frankfurt and we were thrilled to meet so many new contacts. 

Coming next is the Stationery Show London from April 30th - May 1st 2019. Over the next couple of months we will be preparing for this event and we're really look forward to showcasing what we have to offer in 2019.

We're off again!

Last year, we went to Paperworld - one of Europe's largest stationery exhibitions held in Frankfurt, Germany. 

Each year the fair plays host to many brands - new and old. It also has separate halls for different occasions. Paperworld is mainly for office and trend based stationery, whereas Creativeworld is for the creative sector which includes sketch, craft and art materials. 

This year, we'll be exhibiting in Creativeworld focusing on our sketch and creative brand offering. With all of our three brands present at the fair, they'll be no better time to come and see us and experience what we have to offer.

Celebrations are in order as our very own Marketing Manager; Gemma, gets selected as a 'Star Choice' in this years Thirty under 30 awards by Stationery Matters.

The class of 2018 are 30 young people who stood out as innovators and ambassadors for stationery.
 
Julia Faiers, editor of Stationery Matters and one of the competition judges, revealed this year’s Thirty Under 30 in the recently published AW18 print issue of the magazine.
 
She said, “Our first Thirty Under 30 competition last year demonstrated there is no shortage of young people with the motivation and talent to drive our industry forwards. The second Thirty Under 30 builds on this, proving stationery’s future is bright.”
 
The judges chose 30 young people from across the breadth of the industry who they felt encapsulated the spirit of the awards, from entrepreneurs with a ground-breaking new product, to dedicated team workers and bloggers promoting stationery to an ever-expanding tribe of consumer stationery addicts.

Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust Supporters Lunch.

Gemma (our Marketing Manager) has been out for the morning to learn about the ways our support helps our natural environment. Whilst she was there she met with various businesses from the local area and discussed ways in which they support YDMT. Followed by a number of presentations and networking, Gemma came away from the event feeling inspired by the work being done at YDMT and their aspirations for the future.

Paperworld & London Stationery Show 2018

The first quarter of our year is always the busiest, preparing new products and also going to exhibitions and trade shows. 
This year has been no exception - if fact, we've been extremely busy attending a new show. 

We attended Paperworld for the first time this year - one of Europe's largest international exhibitions for all things paper stationery and office products. It was a very positive few days where we met existing, new and potential customers.

In April, we exhibited at one of our regular events the London Stationery Show. This was a first for us using our brand new 'look' - matching our stand at Paperworld. The feedback on our stand and products was positive and we were pleased to meet with some existing and new customers.

Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust Tree Planting day
March 16th 2018
Gemma and Scott from our Marketing team joined other local businesses from across the Yorkshire Dales at a tree planting day with the Yorkshire Dales Millennium Trust. 

The aim of the day as a group of volunteers was to plant over 150 individual trees of various types to help sustain a local eco-system. 

Gemma described the day as 'rewarding and extremely worthwhile' and encourages anyone of any age to get involved.
